The press service of the Russian government has denied reports about the indexation of salaries of public officials by almost 40% in January 2019. Earlier Tuesday, Russian media provided information, referring to the press service of the Cabinet, that the salary of civil servants will rise by 38% in this period.

It was reported that this will be implemented mainly through higher salary.
