Geologists have discovered in Texas, the largest US oil field

Formation has an average of 20 billion barrels of oil and 16 trillion cubic meters of natural gas and 1.6 billion barrels of gas condensate reported in U.S. Geological Survey.

The US Geological Survey (USGS) found in Texas in the Permian Basin largest unused oil and gas fields of the United States the whole story, said the agency.

According to the ministry estimated formation has an average of 20 billion barrels of oil and 16 trillion cubic meters of natural gas and 1.6 billion barrels of gas condensate.

These reserves are three times the agency found in 2013 on the formation Bakken-Three Forks, which makes the deposit of the largest in the history of the country.

"The fact that it is the largest oil field, which we've libovideli shows that, even in areas that have produced billions of barrels of oil, there is the potential to find a few billion," - are reported words of energy resources program coordinator USGS Walter Gidrosha (Walter Guidroz).
