Russia and Turkey have agreed to lift trade restrictions
The Turkish Ministry of Economy
Nihat Zeybekchi officially announced the lifting of all restrictions on the supply of
country wheat of Russian producers. The Minister noted that
Presidents of the two countries agreed in Sochi on the removal of trade barriers, and
Russian side canceled the restrictions in force at the individual
category of goods supplied from Turkey.
Recall that in response to Turkey
Russia's actions in mid-March has introduced import duties on
delivered to wheat and sunflower setting duties
respectively 130% and 36% for each of the goods. As a result,
delivery of these crops is almost completely ceased in the loss force
profitability.
It should be noted that within the framework of progress
arrangements Rosselkhoznadzor delegation plans to hold in Turkey
four days in the period May 15-19, to inspect the major
producers of pepper, onions and other agricultural products,
traditionally supplied to the Russian market.
The head of department Sergey Dankvert
I did not bind the trip with the latest changes in the relations between the two
countries, as it was agreed in advance of the Sochi meeting between Putin
and Erdogan.
