Russia and Japan signed the convention on avoidance of double taxation
Following the visit of Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe to Russia to participate in the East Economic Forum (WEF) has signed a convention on avoidance of double taxation and prevention of evasion from payment of contributions to the Treasury, as well as a joint statement of economic agencies on cooperation in the field of the digital economy, transfers "RIA Novosti".
Convention on the Taxation will replace the existing Convention between the USSR and Japan on January 18, 1986. The need to revise the document is due to the changed conditions of economic activity in Russia, changes in the tax laws of the two countries, as well as the development of bilateral economic relations and international trends in the field of taxation. Convention shall apply to taxes imposed on total income, or individual elements of income persons who are residents of one or both countries.
