Position Sizer

Position Sizer

PositionSizer - an indicator that will help you calculate the number of lots to trade and corresponds to the value of risk to account for each item.

To start using the indicator, simply add it to the chart. When you need to find the optimal position size, simply press Shift B on your keyboard if you want to calculate it to buy or Shift S, if it goes on sale.

On the chart there will be three price direction. Blue indicates the point most suitable for the opening of the transaction, the red mark the point at which you can set the Stop Loss and the green indicator will point to Take Profit. Just drag the arrows on the price that you would like to include in the calculation of the transaction.

On the left side of the chart you will find information module, which consists of two buttons and a four-point information.

  1. The basic meaning: The first item is the value from which you expect the risks. Initially, it uses the value of its own funds in the account, but if you want to see balance, simply replace the value in the negative (eg -1). You can set an arbitrary value. For example, if you need to conduct the same calculation for multiple accounts, simply type the desired value in the field. If you want to return to the value of its own funds in the account, select 0.

  2. Pips, you may risk: The value in the second field means pips that you can take risks. It is the distance in pips from the inlet (blue arrow) to Stop Loss (red arrow). Whenever you change the position of the hands, pip value will change.

  3. percentage of risk: it sets the percentage of funds to your account, which you are willing to compromise. For example, your account has 100,000 and you are willing to risk 1000 (regardless of the required number of pips). This means that you are willing to put at risk 1% of your account. You can use the values set by default or manually, allowing any time to enter different values in the fields, where they are visible.

  4. Position Sizing: this lot number, which must be open to make the previously set part of the bill available to the risks.

Additional information: under the arrow Stop Loss and Take Profit are marked changes in your account, which will occur if you open a deal.
