Rosaviation presented the outcome of the Russian airlines in the first half of 2014. For six months the Russian planes have transported 41.5 million passengers, which is 10.8% more than the same period last year. Almost 79% of passenger traffic accounted for the top five airlines and their "daughters" - group "aeroflot" ("aeroflot"."Russia"."Aurora,"Donavia") "Transaero", S7 group ("Siberia" and "globe") UTAir group ("UTair" and "UTair-Express") and "Ural airlines".

In its communication Rosaviation draws attention to the new trend in the distribution of passenger traffic. In 2014, air transport passengers opt for flights on domestic routes: the rate of growth in flights to international destinations is reduced to 5.6% compared to 2013 - said the agency. The growth in international flights decreased due to the deterioration of the macroeconomic situation and the devaluation of the ruble, and the competition in the domestic market is high, so the airline significantly reduced prices, explains the tendency of the head of analytical department of the agency "The airport" Oleg Panteleyev. But the impact is not only that, he says: "The deterioration of the foreign policy situation has led to a decrease in the number of visas issued by about 20%, plus, of course, reduced business traffic".

The expert believes that the airlines will be difficult to maintain the same growth rate, not having gone into minus, because October is likely to traffic on international flights may begin to decline, and growth on domestic routes will be reduced or paused. Over the year, passenger growth on domestic and international lines is unlikely to exceed 6%.
