ATR MULTI SYMBOLS

As an additional criterion for selection of a financial instrument, which will go trade, can serve an indicator such as volatility. Average True Range Indicator (ATR) may be used for visualization of the indicator.

If your trading system shows good results when tested on financial instruments in periods of high volatility, the ATR MULTI SYMBOLS indicator for MetaTrader 5 trading terminal you will come in handy, as it allows you to visually evaluate and select characters with a maximum volatility at the moment.

In the outer parameters of the indicator it is possible to set the number of the last values ​​of the indicator to display, as well as the period of the indicator, the names of financial instruments (up to five characters, the sixth - the current symbol in the chart) and the horizontal levels to display (a total of six levels, but more can be installed in indicator subwindow if six is ​​not enough).

The list of external parameters of indicator ATR MULTI SYMBOLS:

• Number Of Bars - number of last indicator values ​​to display. The default value of 1000.


• Indicator Period - period indicator Average True Range (ATR). The default setting is 14.


• Symbol 01 - second financial instrument. Default GBPUSD.


• Symbol 02 - third financial instrument. Default AUDUSD.


• Symbol 03 - the fourth financial instrument. Default NZDUSD.


• Symbol 04 - fifth financial instrument. Default USDCAD.


• Symbol 05 - sixth financial instrument. Default USDCHF.


• Level 01 - the first horizontal level. The default value is 10.


• Level 02 - a second horizontal level. The default value is 50.


• Level 03 - third horizontal level. The default value is 100.


• Level 04 - fourth horizontal level. The default value is 200.


• Level 05 - fifth horizontal level. The default value is 400.


• Level 06 - sixth horizontal level. The default value is 600.

After loading the indicator on the chart in the chart window pane will be added, which will be installed panel of nine buttons, and will display the volatility of these six characters.

The first six buttons to the right will display the name specified in the symbol settings. The first character to the right - the current, that is the one that is shown in the chart at the moment. Each button (character name) - a color that matches the color of the indicator line.

If the characters shown in the external parameters of the indicator is on the server,
they will be added in the window Market Overview (Market Watch), if they have not been installed before. If any character or no name was given in error, the button corresponding to the character to be empty (no name). All clickable buttons. That is, if you click on the button with the symbol name, the indicator line will be thicker, and the background of the button becomes darker.

After the buttons with the names of characters, there are three buttons with additional features:

• Blue button "F" shadows are not allocated in the current line indicator.


• Red "S" button sets in subwindow dashboard which will be described hereinafter.


• hide / show button with the sign ">>"Collapsible panel with buttons. As a result, there is only the button, and a sign with the changes to"<<".

Pressing the "S" will cause the information panel on the left side of the indicator subwindow. At the same time with
two horizontal level will be set dashboards, the meaning of which will be described later.

The following information is displayed on the panel:

• Number of Bars - amount calculated indicator values ​​shown on the graph. It corresponds to the set value in the external parameters.


• Indicator Period - indicator period. It corresponds to the set value in the external parameters.


• Top Level - value of the upper (red) level.


• Bottom Level - value of the lower (blue) level.

All the following figures show the number of indicator values ​​of each of the specified character between the upper (red) and lower (blue) levels that can help to choose the characters to test their trading systems, which often are in an area of ​​high volatility. When you move the level value on the panel will be immediately updated.

It is also worth mentioning that when you switch the chart timeframes for some time indicator may become unavailable for display. It will last only as long as spooled historical data from the server. If the data has already been uploaded, and all timeframes are synchronized (synchronization in MetaTrader 5 is done automatically), then many hitches will not.
