The size of your account of $ 10,000. You open a long position in 1 lot EUR / USD. Pip value for 1 lot is 10 USD. You set a stop-loss at 20 pips. This creates a risk of 200 USD. Your initial risk is equal to 2.00%.
Now that the EUR / USD rises by 50 pips, your trade will be profitable. The funds in your account grow to $ 10,500 (10,000 + 10 x 50). The distance from the current price to your stop-loss is now 70 pips. This leads to the actual risks of 6.67%.
Once you open a second transaction on the other currency pair, this risk will be added to the General Primary and actual risk. In this way you will always have a clear view of all the risks to your account.
